What to Expect.

What to Expect when you camp at Crown Mountain:

* EXPERIENCING WEATHER. 

The thermometer and rain chances are unpredictable, we recommend bringing extra clothes that you can layer or remove depending on the weather.

*SHOWER HOUSE AND COFFEE STATION.

The showers have individual dressing rooms and the shower house has power outlets and a coffee bar. 

*MAYBE SEEING CRITTERS. 

Respect the wildlife! You are in the country and they live here, too. Food left out is fair game! Never feed wild animals.

*FOR SURE SEEING BUGS

We highly recommend bringing your favorite bug spray.

*BEING SURROUNDED BY NATURE.

This means relaxation,peace, quiet, and beauty. It also means a level of unpredictability, plus leaves, sticks, and dirt. 

* SMALL FARM EVIDENCE 

In addition to running a campground,  we also run a small farm. You may get to see corn, vegetable, and flower gardens depending on the season. And you'll probably pass some pasures with beautiful draft horses or miniature goats on your way to the campsites.  All animals and farming are in separate areas from the campgrounds, but you will most likely hear and see them during your stay. 

*WE PROVIDE

Bath house,

Toilets, 

Canvas tent furnished with Bedding, cooler, floor coverings, bedside table, solar string lights and battery powered lantern (there are also "bare- bones" options where you can provide more of your own gear, and bring your own tent sites). We keep quilts available for picnics, too. Potable water is available. 

*WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING:

Clothes that are easily layered, 

Camping food of your choice, 

Sunscreen,

Bug repellent, 

Sturdy foot wear.

Umbrella. 

*WHAT NOT TO BRING:

Illegal drugs, 

Fire works, 

Pets,

Note: we can not allow smoking inside the tents because of fire hazard, and the inability to take the tobacco scent out of canvas. 

*TOILETS

There are independent, non electric bathroom units built in locations convenient to the campsites and shower house. These are not your Grandpa's outhouses, and are kept clean and functioning at all times with instructions for proper use posted. 

*FIRE PIT

We have a big, beautiful stone fire ring for all our campers to enjoy at any time! There is also a small fire pit available with our camper hookup. Please remember no fire is allowed in side the tipis for safety reasons. 

What NOT to Expect:

*AIR CONDITIONING

*WI- FI

We do have fairly decent cell service but do not provide an additional router.

* ROOM SERVICE

We do provide a number you can call at any time if there is a problem or you have a question.
